Job Description

This is a key role with the primary duty to enable teams to implement IaaS & PaaS environments on Azure and migrate existing on-premises environments to the Azure cloud. The candidate will have a background designing and implementing networks on-premises and in Azure. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Present audience-appropriate explanations of infrastructure and networking practices to technical staff within an organization (technical management, operations, and technical teams)

· Create secure hybrid deployments of virtual machines, networks, and PaaS solutions in Azure

· Assist to plan and migrate existing systems to Azure

· Create repeatable processes using infrastructure-as-code-practices

· Collaborate with onshore and offshore resources

· Work with Project teams to understand and accommodate application architecture and the App’s specific requirements for Azure networking.

· Fulfilling on-call responsibilities as part of the team’s rotation.

· Security Compliance

· Maintain site reliability and high availability

· Monitoring, alerting and incident management

Advocate DevOps culture, tooling, delivery methods, and cultural practices

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· Over 3 years of experience as DevOps/Cloud Engineer supporting core IT infrastructure.

. 2+ years of experience in Configuration Management using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, , etc.

Experienced on Site Reliability Engineering (preferred) and automating repetitive tasks using Python, PowerShell, etc.

Strong understanding of different deployment resource types and when to deploy each type (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)

Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Azure CLI

Knowledge of automating deployments in Azure

Experience collaborating across multiple functional and/or technical teams to deliver an Agile-based project.

· Planning and implementation experience of data and storage management solutions in Azure (SQL Azure, Azure files, Queue storage, Blob storage). Implementing scripts with PowerShell for Runbooks.

· Has deployed applications in webserver, application server and database server.

· Working experience of networking, Load balancers, WAFs and CDNs
