Position Overview
The Surgical Coordinator is a high-responsibility, revenue-driving role responsible for guiding patients from surgical inquiry through booking and preparation.
This position owns the surgical pipeline. From the moment a lead is identified — whether from marketing, internal referral, or provider recommendation — the Surgical Coordinator becomes the primary non-clinical point of contact.
The ideal candidate is confident, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable discussing surgical plans in the $10,000–$40,000+ range.
Key Responsibilities
Surgical Lead Management & Conversion
- Make initial contact with new surgical inquiries
- Conduct structured pre-qualification calls (phone or video)
- Educate patients on consultation process and timelines
- Schedule surgical consultations with appropriate surgeon
- Present treatment plans and pricing clearly
- Secure deposits and schedule surgical dates
- Maintain disciplined follow-up with undecided consults
Financial Coordination
- Review surgical pricing and payment options
- Coordinate financing applications
- Ensure payment compliance prior to surgery
- Manage contracts and documentation
Pre-Operative Coordination
- Provide pre-op timelines and instructions
- Confirm medical clearances and required labs
- Ensure consents and paperwork are complete
- Confirm implant and OR readiness
Patient Experience
- Serve as primary point of contact from consult to first post-op
- Deliver high-touch communication
- Coordinate with surgeons, Surgical PAs, and OR team
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in plastic surgery, aesthetics, or elective medical sales
- Proven ability to convert high-value cases (10,000-40,000 plus)
- Strong communication and objection-handling skills
- Highly organized with CRM proficiency
- Comfortable working in a structured, performance-driven environment
Preferred:
- Experience in plastic surgery (body, breast and face)
- Demonstrated revenue performance track record
- History of closing 1 million dollars in sales annually
Work Environment
- Full-time position
- Multi-location flexibility (Ashburn, Mclean)
- High-performance, fast-paced surgical division
Compensation & Growth
- $25–$30 per hour , based on experience and performance
- Quarterly performance-based commission on collected surgical revenue
- Total compensation typically ranges from $75,000–$90,000+ annually , depending on production
