    Job Summary:

    The Surgical RN Circulator is a registered nurse responsible for coordinating patient care in the operating room. The circulator ensures a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment while advocating for the patient throughout the surgical procedure.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile environment in the operating room

    Verify patient identity, surgical procedure, and consent prior to surgery

    Coordinate surgical team activities before, during, and after procedures

    Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and equipment setup

    Monitor patient condition throughout surgery and respond to any changes

    Maintain accurate documentation of intraoperative care

    Ensure all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and functioning

    Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff

    Advocate for patient safety and comfort at all times

    Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

    Required Qualifications:

    Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

    Minimum 2–3 years of Operating Room experience (circulator experience required)

    Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

    ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
