Scrub Tech at Interventional Pain Center of Chesterfield

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Scrub Tech is responsible for scrubbing surgical procedures and demonstrating competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. The role includes preparing and maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. The Scrub Tech supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or prior scrub experience preferred
• Must possess strong knowledge of surgical procedures and the management of surgical patients
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their proper implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the patient’s condition when needed
• Excellent team player with strong communication skills for interacting with staff, patients, and physicians

Required Skills

Required Experience

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
• Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• At least one year experience as an LPN, preferably in home care.
• Ability to be well organized and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical applications, lab values, etc.
• Knowledge of operating a computer and computer programs (Microsoft Office, EMR).
• Knowledge of business office procedures and basic office equipment.
• Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system and answer in a pleasant and helpful manner.
• Ability to read, understand and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
