Survey Instrument Operator I

Pay range - $15 and up, commensurate with experience.

• 0-3 years of experience (Entry Level)

• Associate's Degree or higher in Survey & Geomatics, Survey Technology, or other related surveying program preferred, Surveyor-In-Training (SIT) is preferred and encouraged, HS diploma or GED required.

• Have strong mathematical, analytical, and communication skills

• Must be willing to travel and flexible with changing schedules and workload demands

• Valid PA driver's license with acceptable driving record

• General understanding of AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred

• Responsibilities will include

  • Independently work as part of 2-man survey crew
  • Maintain equipment
  • Monitor and coordinate supply requests
  • Obtain understanding of TCG Equipment and applicable uses
  • Obtain understanding of survey point data collection and documentation
  • Must maintain responsibility to Survey Crew Chief

• Must be able to work in a team environment

• Must maintain responsibility for his/her actions

  • Obtain general comprehension of construction drawings/specifications.
  • Obtain general comprehension of drafting and field computations for surveys
