Suspended Animation, Inc., a cutting-edge biotechnology company in Southern California has a position for a creative, high-energy medical professional to assist with our client services and donor recoveries. The Client Services and Donor Recovery Coordinator is a full-time, hands-on position reporting to the COO that combines helping clients, helping patients, and contributing to life-saving research. Primary Duties: The Coordinator is responsible for providing clinical and administrative management of tissue donors to SA’s clients. This includes generating and maintaining quality system processes and documentation, patient/donor intake, maintaining donor databases as well as training contract medical professionals, maintaining recovery equipment and supplies, leading and coordinating deceased donor recovery teams and coordinating logistics for recovery operations. Success in this position requires a willingness to jump in and learn, solid clinical skills and judgment demonstrated leadership and multi-tasking abilities under pressure, autonomous and critical thinking skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to interface effectively and diplomatically with donor hospitals, hospital staff, funeral directors, donor families, and the public is critical. Education and Experience: The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of EMT or paramedic experience in emergency care or critical care. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Tissue/organ procurement or transplant experience and certifications are desired but not required. Familiarity with MS Office, EMR software, and smartphones is required. Must be a licensed driver with a reliable vehicle. Must be able to lift 40 lbs comfortably. This is a full-time, 40-hour/week position requiring 24 Hour on-call availability and short notice travel for recoveries 4-8 times per year.
