    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Sustainability Co-op will have the opportunity to support critical initiatives to further advance Abiomed’s overall sustainability program and demonstrate industry leadership through the execution of environmental, social and governance (ESG) best practices. The ideal candidate is a passionate and driven individual with an eye for detail and a commitment to making a positive impact on the environment. Additionally, the individual should possess excellent organizational skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Codify Abiomed’s Sustainability Program and develop a multi-year strategic roadmap
    • Development and implementation of initiatives designed to reduce the company’s environmental footprint.
    • Monitor environmental regulations and best practices and recommend changes to the company’s sustainability policies.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and partners to promote sustainability initiatives.
    • Keep up to date with the latest sustainability trends and technologies.
    • Monitor and report on the progress of sustainability initiatives.
    • Prepare and present sustainability reports to management.
    • Create educational materials to promote sustainability within the company.
    • Provide training and support for employees on sustainability initiatives.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or other related field of study
    • A comprehensive understanding of sustainability, environmental regulations, and best practices.
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including attention to detail and customer service.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a manner that is understandable to a variety of audiences.
    • Strong analytical and data management skills are desired, including fluency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
