    THE ROLE:

    This position is responsible for all sales and market development opportunities in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.   This is one of the largest and most developed areas of biopesticide use in the world, and a location where Suterra has a number of new products to be introduced to the market.  The successful candidate will develop and implement a business plan that satisfies the company’s growth targets, while stewarding the use of products within our existing customer base.  They will also work with other Suterra team members to achieve cross-functional territory objectives that will drive the long term Suterra strategy.

    HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Oversee all customer activities for account territory and have complete accountability for all territory results
    • Develop an annual business plan with growth objectives that meet or exceed sales targets for business growth.
    • Conduct direct sales calls on distributors, retailers and growers to introduce, sell and provide technical and logistical support for the Suterra product line.
    • Manage new customer inquiries, university contacts, retailer/grower meetings, tradeshows, field demonstrations and other activities required to promote and support the sale of Suterra products.
    • Conduct technical sales presentations to cross functional audiences, including external growers, distributors, and industry experts. Present the company and its products at industry events.
    • Use market/customer intelligence to create vision and strategic initiatives and help with product improvements.

     

    HERE’S THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    • Self-starter with a bias for action.
    • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
    • A strategic thinker who creates innovative plans and has the ability to use cross functional and international resources to drive these to completion.
    • Organized and focused with the ability to deliver in a multi-task environment.
    • Ability to travel within territory up to 75% of the time, as well as travel to regional hubs for team meetings and limited international travel as required.

     

    HERE’S THE EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    • Bachelor's degree in agricultural/pest related discipline or technical discipline and/or sufficient experience in area of focus.
    • 2+ years of sales experience and/or business-related focus desirable.
    • Willingness to further education in business focus area.
    • PCA or other regional licenses or accredited pest or crop advisory certifications desirable.
