Seeking candidates for a Business Intelligence Developer opportunity with our client in Silver Spring, MD. This is a hybrid in-office and remote work position.
The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer's role is responsible for creating and maintaining key organizational reports and data models and supporting the organizations growing analytical needs. The BI Developer is also responsible for ensuring high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement robust, automated solutions for extracting, transforming, normalizing and integrating information from disparate data sources
- Design, build and deploy business intelligence solutions including dashboards, reports and data extracts.
- Develop comprehensive views, functions, and procedures to support data analytics and reporting functions.
- Develop in-house applications using .Net framework.
- Create and manage ETL processes to automate and support integration between applications
- Support ad hoc business data requests by understanding requirements and developing queries/ SSRS reporting to present necessary data.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Technologies, Processes and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5 years Experience with MS SQL Server (2012 or greater); T-SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Power BI and SAP Business Objects.
- Experience using dynamic SQL, Triggers, Functions, Stored Procedures, Constraints and Flow Control.
- Experience using .Net framework (ASP.Net)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, Query Optimization and enterprise database concepts.
- 2 years banking industry experience with strong knowledge of lending/deposit product
