Ideal candidates will be San Francisco Bay Area based with ability to work in office at company headquarters in San Francisco at least once a week. HQ is located in SOMA area of SF, within 2 min walk of CalTrain station. Casual; dog-friendly; parking available.
Seeking a Content Strategist to launch a flywheel of scalable, relevant, refreshingly real content that features experts, showcases their expertise, and helps people make buying decisions on the best gear for their needs.
The position will focus on empowering and activating content creators with accessible, authentic formats that can be scaled across different verticals without the need for heavy editorial production support. From project definition and staffing to implementation and publishing, you will build out pipelines of engaging content that drives organic traffic and meets buyer needs.
This is an ideal role for someone who loves creating content, building out scalable operations, driving organic growth, and telling authentic stories. In setting creators up for success in written and video content, you’ll be collaborating with experts across a diversity of fields - from golf, skiing, and snowboarding to camping, coffee, and kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Drive content strategy for achieving organic growth across verticals, developing compelling, differentiated, scalable content formats accessible to expert creators and optimized for users at different stages of the buying journey.
Manage content project staffing to unlock scalable, self-sufficient production systems, advising editors, publishers, and other stakeholders.
Define talent needs and set experts up for success in content creation initiatives, providing feedback to writers and video hosts
Conduct SEO keyword research to identify content opportunities and optimize articles to increase rankings and organic traffic.
Build a content strategy for launching into new categories, defining the types of content that will help achieve organic growth.
Conduct user research with consumers and experts to uncover actionable insights for creating and improving content.
Monitor and report on content performance to identify what’s working and what could be improved.
Maintain our brand style, voice, and editorial standards.
Stay up to date on industry trends, including best practices on multiple platforms and successful engagement campaigns.
Collaborate with cross-channel partners, including Product, Design, Marketing, and User Research, to execute against the roadmap.
