Hello! We are seeking the right person to build a great working relationship with. We have a 9-year-old, 4th grade boy and a 7-year old, 1st grade boy who will need regular after-school 2-3 times a week and occasional weekend night care. They are sensitive, at times intense, creative and full of ideas they love to explore in depth; sometimes making up games and tinkering and sometimes wanting a deep conversation. As an example of their personalities, both are vegetarian by choice (my husband and I are not,) and have a deep love of animals. An interest in art, storytelling, role playing, and drama are a plus!

A good fit would be responsible, sensitive and fun:

• Pick them up from school in Berkeley (pick up time can be somewhat flexible because school has ad-hoc after-care program)
• Drive to activities (only have one art lesson at this point)
• Help with light shopping for one-off items needed
• Prepare snacks
• Process backpacks
• Prep dinner
• Homework guidance for older boy
• Lots of play!
• Light help with picking up around the house when the boys have down time or are playing together without you

Right now, we are looking for part-time care - about 11-15 hours a week of care. However, we are also seeking a part time personal assistant/helper and can add more hours that you can fit in as your schedule allows. $23/hour for both boys, $18/hour for 1. Must have your own car and a clean driving record.
