Business Development Representative
Position: Business Development Representative Reporting to the General Manager of a full service logistics provider with offices across the US and a focus on truckload, LTL, expedited, and intermodal brokerage operations.
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for the development and signing of profitable new business. Will need to be energetic and outgoing, with the ability to market a wide variety of commodities to various markets. Responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, sourcing new business opportunities, pricing, and building a book of business with the assistance of the Account Management team for year over year growth. Will need to provide documented activity reports of sales efforts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The ideal candidate is a confident, highly motivated individual, looking for a great sales opportunity with growth potential. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability throughout North America.
Background Required:
Sales, business development, and account management (1+ years)
Experienced in new account acquisitions
Pricing and margin integrity
Negotiations
Customer development, profitability, & market penetration
Technology Proficient: Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word)
