Your job as a Deck Supervisor at Sweet Blue Swim Academy is beyond just a lifeguard position. You are expected to be the predominant safety officer on deck as well as the overseer of communication and process on the pool deck. We are seeking a seasoned and observant lifeguard to ensure the safety of our students and families during swim lessons. The lifeguard will have a thorough understanding of safety rules and protocols, warn students and families about unsafe situations, and enforce policies on the pool deck. You will play an instrumental role in maintaining orderliness by maintaining constant awareness of situations in the pool and on the pool deck. You will maintain pool equipment, and assist instructors by communicating on the ability of our students.

To ensure success you need to assess situations swiftly and make decisions regarding the safety of swimmers. Top candidates are excellent communicators, swift, and safety-minded.

Lifeguard Responsibilities:

● Overseeing activities at an aquatic facility.

● Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of

patrons.

● Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger.

● Warning swimmers regarding unsafe situations.

● Maintaining order in swimming areas.

● Responding to emergencies and rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning.

● Performing first aid procedures.

● Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of all areas.

● Maintaining records and reports.

Lifeguard Requirements:

●20 years of age or older.

● Completion of lifeguard training.

● Experience in an aquatic environment

● First Aid and CPR certification.

● AED certification preferred.

● Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.

● Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.

● Available to work shifts.

● Physically fit, strong, agile, and dexterous.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

4 hour shift

8 hour shift

Stamford, CT 06905: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:
