This position would start out being responsible for assisting HVAC technicians and mechanics in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Prior experience is a plus, but not a requirement. If you are willing to learn, we are willing to train. This position will provide support in various tasks, including carrying equipment, preparing work areas, and performing basic installations. Responsibilities: Assisting with Installations: • Help in the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, pipes, and units. • Carry and move heavy equipment and materials to and from the job site. Preparing Work Areas: • Set up work areas by arranging tools and equipment as per instructions from the technician or supervisor. • Ensure that work areas are clean, organized, and safe. Basic Repairs and Maintenance: • Assist in basic troubleshooting and repairs of HVAC equipment. • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, changing filters, and lubricating moving parts. Handling Tools and Equipment: • Properly use and maintain hand and power tools commonly used in HVAC work. • Safely operate equipment like drills, saws, and gauges. Documentation and Reporting: • Record work performed, including tasks completed, materials used, and any issues encountered. • Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or deficiencies to the supervisor. Team Collaboration: • Collaborate with HVAC technicians and other team members to complete projects efficiently. • Follow instructions from senior technicians and supervisors. Continuous Learning: • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices through training and professional development. Qualifications: • Candidate is comfortable working in attics and crawl spaces • High school diploma or GED required • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and components is a plus Compensation: $15 - $18 DOE
