About the Role:
As a Swim Instructor, you'll create a safe, engaging, and encouraging learning environment for every student in your class. Using our curriculum, you will create lesson plans that help swimmers build confidence and develop skills at their own pace while making each lesson fun and meaningful.
Previous teaching experience is not necessary, but a love for working with children and a positive personality are essential. Upholding a team-mentality where all employees support each other and are excited to teach is FUNdamental!
Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and well-being of every student in your class
Teach swim lessons using our curriculum while adapting to each student's needs, abilities, and comfort level
Encourage and celebrate student progress while building water confidence
Create a fun, positive, and welcoming environment during every shift
Communicate professionally with students, families, and fellow team members
Complete required training and actively seek feedback and growth opportunities
Be a dependable team player who supports fellow instructors and the overall success of the pool deck
Qualifications:
Genuine care and compassion for children and families
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and be coached
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain focused and engaged in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in the water for periods of up to five hours
Dependable, reliable, and committed to being part of a team
