Swim Instructor – Special Needs Program

Location: British Swim School Cudahy Schedule: Evening and weekend availability required Position Type: Part-time

We are seeking a patient, enthusiastic Swim Instructor to work with swimmers with special needs in a supportive, one-on-one or small group environment. This position is ideal for college students pursuing education, psychology, therapy, or health-related fields, as well as educators, paraprofessionals, and special education professionals looking for meaningful, flexible work.

What You’ll Do

Teach swim skills to children and/or adults with special needs

Adapt lessons to meet individual abilities, learning styles, and goals

Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment

Support swimmer confidence, independence, and water safety

Communicate with families and program staff as needed

Who We’re Looking For

Swim instruction experience or swimming background a bonus

Experience working with individuals with special needs preferred but not required

Candidates without prior experience must demonstrate a strong desire to learn

Patient, dependable, and compassionate approach to teaching
