Swim-in Zone is looking for energetic, organized and serious Baby Swimming Specialists! Swim-in Zone, the leader in teaching swimming to babies and toddlers, is looking for an awesome adult to train to be a part-time Swim-inStructor for our Parent/Child classes. Teachers/Swim-inStructors are the core of our business and play a most important part in possibly saving a child's life one day.

Our ideal candidate is applying because of their love of babies and toddlers, their desire to save a child's life and decrease the statistic that drowning is the #1 cause of accidental death in children under 5 years old. Candidates/Swim-inStructors must be able to interact playfully with children and parents while keeping them on task. We teach year round and training can be extensive. Part time hours would be 2-3 evenings a week around 5-730pm and Sundays around 1030am -230pm.

All current Child Abuse Clearances would be required. CPR/AED/First Aid also required and will be provided free of charge to employees.

Responsibilities Include:

Manage the preparation of lesson plans for each class

Using our curriculum, engage children in learning swimming skills.

Being comfortable in a water environment.

Using initiative and judgement on how to be creative with the children.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Some swimming experience or comfort in the water!

1 yr of working with children is preferred but not necessary

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong desire to have fun with children!

Energetic, friendly candidates are needed!

Ability to communicate well with adults.

Swim-in Zone is a family owned business who has been the Leader in Water Safety in the Lehigh Valley for 14 years. Our owner, Penny Pantano, has been teaching swim lessons in the Lehigh Valley for over 40 years. She has worked at several different programs throughout the years eventually deciding to run her own program. Our building was constructed especially for children's swim lessons - our pool is only 5' deep but has three 25 yd lanes and specially constructed steps and ledges to make the children feel comfortable and safe. The pool is always warm (88 degrees!) to encourage and motivate children. Swim-inStructors are specially trained in our curriculum so that we all teach using the same terms. We are constantly changing and mixing things up to provide the best lessons possible for the children but our customer service is our most important component. We expect our clients to be happy with their lessons and will do whatever we can to ensure this!
