    Job description

    Swim to Shore is an indoor swim school that operates year round and provides exceptional service to hundreds of families in our community. We are entering our 20th year of business and have provided a water safety education to over 10,000 families in our community. We are looking for a Customer Care Specialist to provide stellar service to our swm families, manage our front desk on a daily basis and perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a Customer Care Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Customer Care Specialist's duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will coordinate front-desk activities and manage all communications via phone, text and email. To be successful in the position you should have a warm and friendly personality, be eager to build a rapport and relationship with our swim families while serving their needs in a personalized way. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Ultimately, a Customer Care Specialists duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.This position will be cross trained as a swim instructor to cover teaching shifts as needed. All training is paid and a lifeguard certification will be required upon completion of training. Responsibilities

    Greet, welcome and check in guests as soon as they arrive at the school

    Develop and maintain positive and personal relationships with students and families

    Provide phone, text and email communication to our swim families and potential customers

    Take care of scheuduling needs of all new and existing customers using our web based software

    Explain and enforce policies and procedures

    Keep detailed notes and records in our software system of all interactions and communication with customers

    Process instructor schedules, student awards and maintain student skills records

    Provide accurate sales information in-person and via phone/email

    Receive deliveries

    Manage inventory, stocking and organization of small retail area

    Order front office supplies and manage inventory

    Update monthly bulletin board with creative themes

    Provide office administrative support in all areas as needed

    Willingness to respond to emergencies by calling 911 and providing support care to lifeguards

    Become trained as swim instructor and act as substitute when needed

    Skills

    Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role

    Experience with children a plus!

    Proficiency in computer skills

    Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. printers)

    Professional attitude and appearance

    Written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise

    Excellent organizational skills

    Multitasking and time-management, with the ability to prioritize tasks

    This position is part time (25-32 hours per week) and availability must include mornings, evenings and saturdays from 8:30-1:30.

    Pay: $16.50 - $18 per hour
