SwimKids of Geogia is a local swim school with a passion for teaching young children to swim. We strive to deliver the highest standard of swimming instruction for infants, toddlers and young children. Our swim school is home to highly trained swim instructors who are dedicated to teaching children the essentials of aquatic survival and fostering a love for swimming. We would like you to join our team! We will train you to use our proven methodology which successfully teaches children to swim and be safe in the water. Drowning prevention is our number one priority. This is a great job for mom's, college students and anyone looking for part time flexible hours. Previous coaching and/or swimming experience is preferred but not necessary. All you need is a great attitude and willingness to learn. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Teach swimming to young children 2. Evaluate progress of each student and complete benchmark skill assessments on-line 3. Communicate with parents/guardians about progress of students 4. Check in clients for lessons 5. Explain/sell our program to prospective clients 6. Assist in maintaining clean restrooms and office area 7. Check the water chemistry in the pool 8. Perform other office duties or projects as required or as assigned ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to the General Manager. Coordinates with other office staff and instructors. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Interpersonal skills (great smile and enthusiasm is a must) Ability to work with children Excellent communication skills Professional demeanor Critical thinking skills CPR certified (we will train you) HOURS: We are looking primarily for evening instructors Monday - Friday and Saturday mornings. Typical hours are 4pm to 8pm (M-F) and 8am to 1pm (Saturday) Environment: Our pool is indoors and heated to 90 degrees. The acoustics can be noisy at times so you must be able to zone in on the task at hand. Job Type: Part-time Salary: $12.00 to $17.00 /hour
