SwimsCool is a rapidly growing private swim school, who teaches children's private swim lessons in the comfort of their own homes in Santa Monica and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is a strong swimmer, AMAZING with kids, and demonstrates integrity, great customer service, passion for helping others, and a "roll up your sleeves" mentality. Job Qualifications -WSI and Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certified ( Extension acceptable) - Provide swim instruction in accordance with SwimsCool's curriculum in a fun, motivating, encouraging positive ways - Ability to successfully complete pre-employment questions and SwimsCool's onboarding training - Ability to pass swim and basic skills test: complete 25 yards of the following strokes: front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke, and butterfly ( 15 yards ok), maintain back float for 1 minute, properly tread water for 1 min. using only legs, and perform headfirst entries in deep water - Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations - Evaluate swimmers' skills and performance and provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and parents on their swimming progress - Keep abreast of changing rules, techniques, technologies, and philosophies relevant to swimming. - Communicate with participants and parents to provide information and answer questions. - All applicants are subject to background screenings and drug testing - Special consideration given to instructors with 2+ years experience teaching children, adults, and parent and me classes. - Must be willing to follow all COVID-19 precautions and SwimsCool's policies Please submit a resume & cover letter to info@swimscoolla.com, highlighting your swim instruction experience, plus send a short video 3-5-minute video showcasing why you are the perfect candidate. **Extra points for showing your swimming ability in the video. ***Position(s) based in Santa Monica or the Greater Los Angeles area.
