    YOU ARE:

    Mechanically inclined. Love to work with your hands and aren’t afraid to get them dirty. You have electrical or mechanical education or experience. You are an auto mechanic, pressure washer tech or general service technician looking for a change. You have some education and are capable of completely diagnosing and fixing machines yourself; but don’t have any official certification.

    You have experience working with people and take pride in providing exceptional customer service. You believe that the customer deserves your undivided attention, and your job is incomplete until the customer is completely satisfied.

    You possess troubleshooting and diagnosing skills. You are comfortable interpreting a diagnostic manual for a machine you have never seen before. You want to find the root cause of the problem and provide a permanent fix instead of a band-aid solution.

    You can be resourceful. Locating small parts to complete a repair, ordering common parts to stock. You can find a phone number of a technical support expert and use their advice to help you solve a problem.

    You are detail oriented and organized. You can explain your work to a customer, from the diagnosis of the problem and repair procedure required. You can manage multiple emails and phone calls daily and prioritize and answer all of them.

    You have a clean driver’s abstract, able to handle powered equipment, basic computer and phone skills, and an ability to lift 50 lbs.

    THE POSITION:

    You will report to the Operations Manager for Swish BC. Daily tasks will include diagnosing problems on all types of commercial cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor scrubbers, pressure washers, etc.), ordering and installing parts, testing equipment for functionality, updating work order notes on a computer and communicating with customers. Responsibilities with be both in-house and in the field.

    Other regular tasks include performing preventative maintenance, completing paperwork, inventory of parts and ordering common wear parts, pre-delivery inspections for equipment, providing demonstrations, chemical, hand soap and paper towel dispenser installations. Some single day travel to other areas of BC may be required.
