    With a role at the Swish, you will have the opportunity to create better outcomes for clean, safe, healthy and productive work and living spaces. We are currently seeking an Operations Manager for our Ottawa branch. This role is responsible for the branch’s day to day operations and to ensure and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provisions of effective methods and strategies.

    Who are you?

    You are comfortable wearing many hats. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Customer Service, Clean-It Centre (retail store), Service Department, Warehouse and Drivers. The job varies day-to-day, and you need to be comfortable jumping from task to task with ease. We can guarantee you’ll never be bored!

    Eager to learn! Prior knowledge of the cleaning industry is not a mandatory pre-requisite for this role, but a willingness to learn is! We have hundreds of products that we offer, from cleaning supplies, to mats, to equipment. As a leader, you need to have a strong understanding on all our offerings in order to offer the best possible experience for our customers.

    Planning and organizing. Whether overseeing customers orders, developing the route for deliveries or managing accurate inventory levels, it is imperative that you have good organizing skills with attention to details. You will also need to be comfortable with numbers in order to implement and be accountable for operational budgets.

    Safety First. You are comfortable dealing with health and safety issues and ensuring that all staff are trained in order to reduce any potential injuries. Experience with Transportation of Dangerous Goods as WHMIS are also key to this role.

    You will need to have at least 3 years’ experience in a management position. Preference will be given to those who are Certified in Health and Safety, Level II and those that are bilingual.
