    Warehouse Manager

    The Warehouse Manager oversees all distribution of product in the most effective manner within quality standards.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Overseeing all aspects of product receiving, warehousing, distribution of products and maintenance operations of the distribution facility

    Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures throughout business

    Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices

    Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements

    Responsible for truck routing and order configuration

    Ensure OSHA and DOT compliance for all staff and vehicles

    Liaison between freight companies and Swish

    Interface with customers – both internal and external - to answer questions or solve problems

    Responsible for the execution of all personnel development and discipline programs; to include but not limited to training one on ones, year end evaluations, progressive discipline and performance improvement plans

    Partner with Human Resources to lead a Safety Committee

    Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, facility and fleet

    Responsible for accurate staffing levels, payroll hours and employee time off requests.

    Monitor and develop Drivers and Warehouse staff

    Responsible for clear, effective communication of all shifts and others on Senior Management Team as the business grows

    Managing in compliance with company’s policies and vision

    Other duties as assigned

    Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

    Work is performed while standing, sitting and/ or walking

    Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.

    Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases

    Travel is required

    Ability to work in above average stressful environment(s)

    Ability to meet strict deadlines

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Telecommuting may be an option at manager discretion.

    Recommended Qualifications:

    Experience/Skills:

    Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices

    7 years relevant operational management experience

    Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases

    Leadership skills and ability manage staff and ability to partner with others on the Senior Leadership team to drive success in the business

    Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

    Excellent communication skills

    Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

    DOT Medical card preferred

    Education:

    University Degree/ College Degree Preferred
