THE DAILY:

• Keep up with email industry trends including technological enhancements, ISP and ESP developments, and email legislation and implement solutions to enhance email programs
• Monitor deliverability and minimize unsubscribe/bounce/complaint rates and ensure spam regulation compliance (e.g. CAN-SPAM)
• Work with internal stakeholders to purge email lists as needed
• Continually optimize email strategies to increase performance including A/B testing on subject lines, message content, images, mailing frequency, segments, and more. Evaluates results and provide recommendations
• Fully utilize the MAS and EMS tools provided: Active Campaign, MailChimp, & Groove to increase email marketing success
• Work with Swivl's graphic designer and key internal stakeholders to design on-brand email campaigns and flows
• Work with Swivl's key internal stakeholders to write emails that match Swivl tone and provide clarity on the subject matter
• Ensure mobile-friendly email templates
• Develop new and analyze existing email flows, identify improvement and implement changes
• Work with the Content Team to create email lead magnets
• Build various email lists and segments working with our SFDC administrator
• Analyze campaign performance suggest improvements
• Report on email marketing KPI's

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• 3+ years of email marketing experience
• Passion for the digital media space in education, experience in the edTech a plus
• Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced education startup environment
• Proficiency with any or all of the following: Active Campaign, MailChimp, Groove, or similar MAS, EMS, & SEP systems
• Vast knowledge of email marketing best practices
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and measure KPIs
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
• Self-directed: While we definitely have a long list of items in mind for you to tackle first, we also are looking for that go-getter who can provide guidance to what we need. You can deliver on the asks, but also take initiative, and able to share recommendations
• Collaborative across internal teams to turn ideas into action
