Journalism Intern / Editorial Assistant SWNS Media Group - Brooklyn, NY 11201 Internship SWNS is looking for a talented intern to join its newsroom in Brooklyn, New York. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to pitch, research and write news and human interest articles to be distributed on our global news wire. Supporting a close-knit team of journalists and reporting to the bureau chief, you will build your portfolio, grow your network of contacts and hone your news-gathering and reporting skills. The preferred candidate will be a budding journalist with a love of news, excellent spelling and grammar, a way with words and a nose for a good story. You will be an aspiring reporter who is studying on a journalism or communications course and ideally has a proven track record of writing for a publication such as a college newspaper. Above all, we are looking for someone who is hard-working, eager to learn and serious about pursuing a career in the news industry. Reasonable travel expenses covered. The preferred candidate will be able to commit to three days per week and begin ASAP.
