CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES

• The position is part of the Digital Architecture & Analytics Organization.
• The technical writer helps create documentation, presentations, specifications, technical papers for architecture, and analytics material.
• The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be architecture diagrams, sequence flows, data analysis reports, PowerPoint decks, sample code, videos, or other material.
• Regardless of the content medium, the technical writer will explain complex topics in an easily understood manner. The consumers of the material are Engineering teams and managers.

TYPICAL DAY

• On a typical day, The technical writer meets with the architects, project managers, or data scientists in the team and understands the content (e.g. System architecture, data analysis reports, modeling results, project status reports, scrum review updates, etc.) and who are the targeted audience - build architects, engineers, and managers.
• The technical writer defines the structure and content for the technical documentation to meet the needs of the audience.
• The technical writer edits, clarifies and proofreads documents written by others, and coaches non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.
• The technical writer supplements the documentation produced by architects/data scientists/managers, where necessary, with additional material to improve the quality and interpretation of the deliverable.
• The technical writer shepherds the documentation from start to finish through the creation, editing, and publication process in collaboration with Partner Managers, Partner Data Scientists, Solutions Architects, and Content Publication teams.
• The technical writer manages the content on confluence and SharePoint for the Architecture & Analytics organization.
