Responsibilities: • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action • Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel regarding issues relating to case • Meet court deadlines and internal deadlines • Maintain excellent communication with clients • Stay abreast of developments in the law Qualifications: • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland • At least 3 years of litigation experience preferably in family law • Ability to handle a case file from intake to trial. Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000
