    FLSA STATUS:             Non-Exempt

    Job Summary

    The Payroll and Benefits Analyst is responsible for supporting high volume payroll processing by overseeing compliance, reconciliations, accuracy and efficiency of the payroll for multi-entity, multi-state equipment company.  The Analyst will be responsible for the final validation and submission of payroll. You will also be responsible for verifying the accuracy and integrity of the data within the Company’s HR systems. Support and assist with benefit management. Run and manipulate reoccurring and adhoc reporting.

     Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities 

    • Ownership of bi-weekly and monthly payroll audits, ensuring data entered is correct, proper payroll records are maintained, and is legally compliant.
    • Serve as back-up payroll processor and support the Payroll Specialist.
    • Assist with researching and formulating solutions to complex payroll questions and situations, collaborate with management when needed.
    • Oversee the accuracy of HR systems by providing maintenance and verifications (e.g. new hire, offer letter, termination validations, pay grade audit, etc.)
    • Serve as the expert and owner of Equifax and ADP reporting.
    • Support benefits administration by owning Affordable Care Act (ACA) process, completing verifications, reporting needs, and employee processing.
    • Respond to queries and requests for assistance in both payroll and benefits, elevate as needed. Prepare reports for submittal to government agencies, auditors, or other key stakeholders.
    • Year-end ownership – coordinate with payroll department to ensure W2’s are timely and accurate.
    • Protect and maintain the privacy of employee information in all personnel systems and records, to include compensation information.
    • Meet deadlines and respond to time sensitive matters accordingly.

     Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Competency in payroll and benefits; knowledgeable in human resources with an employee base of 500 or more.
    • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, with the ability to quickly and efficiently manipulate large quantities of data using formulas, pivot tables, index/match, etc.
    • Capable of completing work accurately and with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent organization and time management skills, including the ability to work on several items concurrently and balance frequently changing priorities.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve requests using pre-defined and creative solutions.

    Education and Experience

    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in human resources, accounting, or related field and/or payroll certification.
    • Minimum four years of payroll, benefit, or human resource experience with 500+ employees.
    • ADP Workforce Now experience a plus.
    • Your work history should demonstrate job stability with increasing levels of responsibility.
