    As a Barista at Red Bicycle By Syndicate Hospitality, your role is crucial in providing an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of the coffee shop, with a primary focus on coffee preparation and customer service. Your key duties and responsibilities include:

    1. Coffee Preparation:

    - Expertly brew and prepare a variety of coffee, espresso and Specialty beverages, ensuring consistent quality.

    - Grind coffee beans to order and maintain espresso machines and brewing equipment.

    - Create latte art to enhance the visual appeal of beverages.

    2. Customer Service:

    - Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.

    - Provide product recommendations and answer customer inquiries about menu items.

    - Handle customer orders accurately and efficiently, taking care to get special requests right.

    - Maintain a positive and attentive attitude, striving to exceed customer expectations.

    3. Food Handling and Preparation:

    - Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation areas and Dining areas.

    - Monitor coffee inventory levels and communicate needs to the manager or supervisor.

    4. Cash Handling and POS Operation:

    - Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, processing transactions through the point-of-sale system.

    - Maintain cash register and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.

    6. Cleanliness and Maintenance:

    - Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bathrooms, coffee and dining areas.

    - Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and service areas regularly to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.

    7. Team Collaboration:

    - Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

    - Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, and management to coordinate orders and maintain excellent service.

    8. Upselling and Promotions:

    - Suggest add-on items, special promotions, and loyalty programs to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.

    9. Knowledge of Menu and Ingredients:

    - Stay informed about the coffee shop's menu offerings, ingredients, and special dietary considerations.

    - Assist customers in making informed choices based on their preferences and dietary restrictions.

    10. Adherence to Policies and Procedures:

    - Follow company policies and procedures related to customer service, food preparation, safety, and cleanliness.

    - Participate in ongoing training and development to improve job skills and knowledge.
