    Job Description

    About this Position Synectic Solutions Inc. (SSI) is seeking a Data Management Analyst (Assembly Support) to support the Table of Allowance (TOA) Requirements Division within the NAVFAC Expeditionary Business Line (EXBL) located at the Washington Navy Yard.  EXBL is the Navy’s System Command (SYSCOM) responsible for procuring and managing expeditionary vehicles, construction equipment, Improved Navy Lighterage Systems, uniforms, tent camps, and other equipment/material used by SeaBees, SEALs and Naval Beach Group units.  The TOA Division supports the establishment and maintenance of TOA’s (listing of authorized equipment) for the Expeditionary Navy’s commands.   Training will be provided on site by members of the TOA Division support team. 

    Job Responsibilities shall include:  • The successful candidate will directly support TOA development by ensuring the technical accuracy and completeness of military equipment listed in the Expeditionary Management Information System (EXMIS) • Tasking is comprised of data management of TOA Assemblies and stock numbers under the purview of various Navy Systems Commands (SYSCOMs) • Requirements include cost analysis, liaison with SYSCOMs to support technical refresh and standardization of equipment, liaison with Product End Item Managers to support stock number revisions, quality control and quality assurance reviews, establishment and monitoring of compliance with data standards, and creation of data analysis reports using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Periodically present data analysis results in formal briefs to the government client • Pull data from a variety of sources such as Required Operational Capabilities/Projected Operational Environment (ROC/POE), Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Activity Manpower Documents (AMDs), and the Advanced Based Functional Component View (ABFCView) portal. Required Skills and Experience: • Demonstrated experience working with or for Navy System Commands or within the Defense Acquisition System and DoD 5000 series guidance • Knowledge of Navy Material Identification requirements (ref NAVSUP P485) or DoD/DLA material identification in lieu of Navy specific knowledge • Knowledge of DoD/Navy directives and regulations concerning supply system and item management • Shall be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint (MS Access is desired) • Shall have demonstrated ability to develop concise and meaningful briefings, presentations and technical reports • Shall be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.

    Desired Skills and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in math, science, engineering, or business • DAWIA Level II certification in Program Management, Life Cycle Logistics, or Engineering, or industry equivalent • Knowledge of EXMIS (HP Maximo) Item Management and TOA Management modules.

    Some Travel may be required.
