Job Description

We are seeking a DATA VISUALIZATION DESIGNER to join a fast-paced Data Visualization initiative for Enterprise Data Analytics program at a federal agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and monitor the timely development of high quality, innovative, creative concepts, and designs for multiple projects.
• Develop or modify graphical templates based on customer or business requirements.
• Work with Federal clients and business stakeholders to define, gather, refine and prioritize business requirements
• Develop best practices for visualization design
• Create style guides and brand guidelines for the team to follow and implement
• Contribute to communication of technical insights to non-technical audience
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analytics and technical teams to verify designs are successfully implemented

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 years of related work experience, specifically data visualization project experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Visual Design or related field.
• Experience with data visualization and associated technologies like Tableau, R Shiny, ArcGIS, D3.
• Experience supporting giving data meaning through information visualization / infographics.
• Strong work portfolio that demonstrates systematic and creative design thinking as well as a deep understanding of UI/UX best practices
• Experience with leading Business Intelligence tools such as OBIEE or Business Objects or Cognos will be a plus
• Strong Soft skills with the ability to work with diverse personalities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to define and effectively articulate solutions (verbally and in writing) and discuss business problems with customers positively influencing outcomes

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
