DESCRIPTION OF WORK (SCOPE OF WORK) The Contractor shall serve as a Specialist (OpenText xECM System Integrator) working for the Manager of the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) Unit, Technology Department, which is responsible to provide a standardized, scalable, and secure information management platform to manage the protected information needs of the Agency. The Contractor will be responsible to implement information enterprise management strategies and work closely with other technical teams within the Technology department to address OpenText platform architectural and technical requirements. The Contractor must have strong experience in and the ability to design, document, and implement integrated OpenText xECM technology solutions. At present, the Agency’s primary platform is version 23.2 of the OpenText Extended ECM suite, where all new OpenText solutions are hosted. The platform is hosted in Microsoft’s Azure cloud environment.
• Design, implement, and maintain integrations between OpenText xECM solutions and other enterprise systems, including but not limited to DocuSign, PeopleSoft, SAP, and SharePoint Online. • Designing, implementing, and providing on-going support for OpenText’s Vendor Invoice Management (VIM). • Collaborate with non-technical business units to understand business requirements and develop integration solutions that enhance overall business efficiency. • Customize OpenText solutions to meet specific business requirements. • Develop Proof of Concepts supporting business use case. • Develop scripts, workflows, and extensions to enhance the functionality of OpenText applications. • Working knowledge of the OpenText xECM Power Automate connector by One Fox • Robust understanding of networking, network security, and data encryption • Hands-on experience in implementing and supporting OpenText Records Management
Application Administration: • Plan and execute upgrades of OpenText software to ensure the latest features and security patches are implemented. • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to test and deploy updates. • Demonstrated ability to implement and provide on-going support for OpenText’s Intelligent Viewer module. • High degree of confidence to manage OpenText Archive Server OpenText Directory Services. • Ensure the stability, cybersecurity, and performance of the OpenText environment through routine monitoring and troubleshooting. • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address issues to optimize performance. • Configuring, managing, troubleshooting, and supporting technologies such as: Apache Tomcat, IIS, SQL Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365. • Provide afterhours business continuity support during emergencies and contingencies.
End User Support: • Assist in performing root-cause-analysis and troubleshooting to include document recovery, notification, audit capabilities and system errors of OpenText systems. • Provide training to end-users as needed. • Manage user access, permissions, and system configurations to align with organizational security policies. • Understanding the environment from a business perspective to aid in troubleshooting and problem resolution directly with end user and via Service Desk ticket assignments. • Configure users and groups, determining system privileges and access controls. • Performing daily system administration of the OpenText xECM cloud environment, including configuration management, system monitoring and performance, auditing and reporting of user actions, and review of system logs for malicious activities
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS a) Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience with administration of OpenText Content Server as well as experience with deployments and configuration of OpenText modules in a hybrid (on-premises and cloud) environment. b) Minimum of six (6) years’ experience using the OpenText workflow engine to develop, configure, and optimize custom OpenText process flows. c) Minimum of four (4) years’ experience providing OpenText end user support and resolving user reported discrepancies. d) Have the hands-on experience to design, develop and deploy custom solution workflows using the Global Cents Inc., PowerTool for Workflow module. e) Have the hands-on experience to design, develop and deploy OpenText custom solution using DocuSign APIs . f) Have the hand-on experience to design, develop and deploy The OpenText Vendor Invoice Management for SAP module. g) Have the capabilities to monitor, audit, and provide on-demand cybersecurity reports of the OpenText environment. h) Effective oral and written communication skills. i) Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology
