    Job Description

    The purpose of the Enrollment Manager is to act as a project manager on Open Enrollment cases, overseeing the project from planning the implementation call until the open enrollment is complete, and if applicable, managing perpetual enrollment.

    This position requires several different areas of proficiency. In order to be a successful Enrollment Manager, one must have competency in the following key areas:

     

    • Project Management & Organization
    • Employee Benefits
    • BenAdmin/Enrollment Platform Technology
    • Communication with Brokers, Clients and Business Owners/HR
    • People Management
    • Understanding of Synergy’s cornerstone systems for scheduling, benefit communications, and file transfers.

     

    PREFERABLY, a candidate will have the following experience:

    • At least three years working in the employee benefits world.
    • Multiple years of experience working with Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite.
    • Ability to work through multiple tasks efficiently, delegating to Admin Assistants when appropriate.
    • An active CA Life and Health Insurance License
    • Bachelor's Degree

     

    The responsibilities and duties of this role are:

    • Upon being assigned a case, working with producers to gather all necessary background information on the group, broker, and VB carrier.
    • Prior to implementation call, gaining insight to what might be required for technology, case set-up, and scheduling/travel.
    • Creating an initial timeline template to go over during the implementation call.
    • Using the implementation call to outline the responsibilities of Synergy, Broker and Client to ensure a successful Open Enrollment.
    • Using implementation calls to firm up enrollment dates, scheduling methods and exact timelines.
    • Overseeing platform builds.
    • Gathering benefit communication pieces for Benefit Counselor Training.
    • Implementing a scheduling tool and ensuring that it is used properly.
    • Verifying that method of transmitting elections is established with insurance carriers.
    • Finalizing enrollment dates and working with Operations managers to source benefit counselors for enrollment.
    • Scheduling Case Specific Training.
    • Ensuring that Open Enrollment is operating as efficiently as possible.
    • Updating broker, carrier and client daily on progress of enrollment and any issues that come up.
    • Verifying that all elections are submitted where they need to be.
    • Making sure that all deductions are communicated to whom they need to be.
    • Completing training with Broker/HR team on platform.
    • Schedule OE debrief of enrollment results with producer and internal staff
    • Making sure CRM and Producer are updated on enrollment results. 
    • If perpetual enrollment and/or other expanded services are offered to the group, setting the correct conditions and overseeing that process.
