A Kansas City company is looking for an experienced Grant Accountant to add to its team. Great work / life balance!

The Grant Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounting services such as:

• Create grant/contract financials monthly, quarterly and annually
• Maintain grant documents, spreadsheets and cost documents
• Calculate accrual entries for salaries, benefits and other expenses
• Communicate with directors and managers about grant and contract information
• Adjust grant budgets and billing as needed to correct errors and comply with grant requirements
• Forecast future grant expenditures and communicate potential issues
• Ensure all grant revenue/expenses are properly recorded
• Make sure all grants are invoiced accurately and timely
• Monitor and communicate projected cash flow information

Minimum Requirements for the Grant Accountant:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 4-6 years of grant accounting experience preferred
• At least 3 years of Grant Accounting experience preferred
