    Job Description

    ROLE PURPOSE

    The COMPUTER VISION SYSTEMS ENGINEER role is part of our Global Product Biology team, which is part of the R&D organization responsible for the development of new Crop Protection (CP) solutions for growers worldwide. In this role you will:

    • Build back-end systems in our computer vision and artificial intelligence pipeline that automate measurement and understanding of plants, pests, and products in the field
    • Scale our work across petabytes of remote and proximally sensed imagery and geospatial data from every corner of the planet

    ACCOUNTABILITIES 

    • Write elegant, maintainable, reusable code
    • Help build the back-end systems to enable end-to-end image analyses from image collection through data output
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Ability to write maintainable, reusable code to develop high quality software
    • Strong programming skills in Python
    • Familiarity with the fundamentals of image analysis, computer vision, and machine learning
    • Must be able to produce solutions independently in an organized manner and also be able to work in a team when required
    • Strong communication skills. Fluent in written and spoken English
    • 3+ years’ work experience in software engineering

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience with relational databases and REST API development
    • Experience with photogrammetric processing tools like Agisoft Metashape
    • Experience with machine/deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow and PyTorch
    • Proficiency with remote sensing, location, mapping, and geospatial data
    • Understanding of QGIS, git, and AWS
    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, interest in new technology
    • Contributes to a culture of innovation – creates an environment that inspires and supports creativity
    • Proactive communication and alignment with stakeholders
    • Strategic thinking with the ability to focus to deliver on what matters
