Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline (Agronomy, Ag Business or Ag Studies majors preferred)
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience relating to agronomy is preferred but not required
- Prior experience relating to Seed Production is strongly preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills to work well with co-workers on plant tasks and in field production management with farmer growers
- Independent, self-motivated and need little supervision
- Excellent computer skills including proficiencies in both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Good writing and math skills
- Trusted - Will need to make good sound judgment calls in regards to seed quality management that will be for the best interest of the company
- Innovative - To always look to implement new procedures or technologies to improve work efficiencies
- Detail/Accuracy Oriented - All procedures and policies must be understood and followed. Data entry into data management systems must be accurate due to decisions being made by other departments based on the information given
