Job Description
Synology America Corp is looking for a highly proactive Channel Development Specialist for their North America sales
team. Responsibilities are centered around growing Synology’s business through product evangelism, educating existing
accounts, and proactively seeking out and starting conversations with new accounts. Success as a Channel Development
Specialist is measurable through sales growth of assigned accounts

Responsibilities Include:

• Increase sales by helping partners discover opportunity to grow their business
• Become a subject matter expert on Synology hardware and software
• Demonstrate Synology software for an audience
• Assist channel partners with system design and build planning
• Be able to plan, execute, present and follow up on virtual and in person events (US and Canada)
• Advocate for our business users and resellers to internal design teams- helping steer product development.

Required Proficiencies:

• Two years of relevant experience in business development or account management
• Firm understanding of computer hardware components (you’ve built multiple PC’s)
• Basic understanding of backup technology (image based vs file level, deduplication, encryption, etc)
• Basic understanding of NAS (you’ve accessed network storage via CIFS, NFS, SMB, etc)
• Ability to manage one’s time and projects with minimal oversight
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (pivot tables and VLOOKUP fluency)
• Experience using Salesforce (you’ve created reports and built a dashboard)

Details:
Job Type: Full-time Monday to Friday
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
Commute: Must be able to work in the office minimum 3 days per week
Travel: Up to 1 week per month within continental United States or Canada
