    SWC IS FORMING A TEAM OF INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS TO BE “ON CALL” TO BECOME AN EMPLOYEE OF SWC AFTER A GOVERNMENT CONTRACT IS AWARDED FOR CONTACT TRACING. YOU CAN WORK FROM THE SAFETY OF YOUR HOME AND WILL BE PROVIDED TRAINING AND SCRIPTS TO SUPPORT YOUR EFFORTS.

     

    Contact tracers provide education about the Virus using a detailed script. You will deliver guidance on minimizing the risk of potential transmission from the contact to others in the event the contacts become ill, and explain the necessity for the contact to quarantine responsibly in order to reduce the risk of transmission of illness to others. The contact tracer also details specific processes for contacts to conduct health monitoring and refers contacts for testing according to established protocols.

    • Call contacts of newly diagnosed patients.
    • Communicate with contacts in a professional and empathetic manner.
    • Collect and record information on symptoms into the web-based platform.
    • Provide contacts with approved information about quarantine procedures, and if appropriate, refer them to testing according to protocol and/or to a COVID-19 Care Resource Coordinator for social resources.
    • Contact tracers will follow the script to inform contacts about the importance of quarantine and what to do if symptoms develop. They are not permitted to deviate from the script or provide information that is not included in the script.
    • Maintain daily contact with supervisor.

     

    Required Skills

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma, or equivalent required
    • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
    • Ability to work remotely in an undisturbed area
    • Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and work ethic
    • Excellent interpersonal skills required and ability to show empathy and interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Critical thinking and sound judgment required
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

    PREFERRED

    • Fluency in a second language
