    Job Description

    Based at Syrah's Vidalia Anode Material (VAM) Operation, an opportunity exists for experienced a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to contribute to a dynamic project start-up environment and gain exposure to the rapidly growing lithium-ion battery industry.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Partner with key stakeholders to provide planned and considered HR advice in a professional and timely manner.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR Systems for Vidalia including Recruitment, Work Performance, Employee Relations, Training & Development, Reporting, Remuneration & Workforce Planning.
    • Manage the recruitment process for Vidalia in line with Company policies and procedures.
    • Manage Employee Lifecycle processes for Vidalia including accurate record keeping of employee information, oversight of the benefits administration process and the timely communication of information to payroll.
    • Assist the Corporate HR team to develop, implement and review HR policies and procedures in line with the evolving needs of the Vidalia Operation.
    • Contribute to the advancement of Syrah’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) performance and drive associated D&I initiatives at Vidalia in line with the broader Company strategy.
    • Work closely with site leadership to ensure Vidalia’s compliance with the Company’s Corporate Governance Framework including associated training and reporting requirements.
    • Provide assistance in managing people related matters at Vidalia including performance management and workplace investigations.
    • Contribute to the monthly and quarterly reporting processes with a focus on continuous improvement.

    EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Qualification in Human Resources or similar.
    • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or processing industry.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to build and maintain genuine credible relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
    • Capable of performing well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Ability to interpret HR policies, procedures and legislation (with support as required) to provide appropriate advice to stakeholders.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and tact when dealing with sensitive information.
    • Good computer proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite.
