  • Responsibilities

    The System Administrator is responsible for a wide variety of essential technology tasks, including, but not limited to, the upkeep, management, security, and maintenance of BITHGROUP's internal IT infrastructure, including cloud and premise servers, networks, databases, end-user hardware, and miscellaneous hardware, to ensure the optimal performance and availability of IT systems.

    The System Administrator reports to and works closely with the VP of Information Technology and helps propose, craft, and implement organizational IT process improvements, new workflows, automation, and programs to continuously improve IT hardware, software, policies, procedures, IT infrastructure, security, and documentation to align with evolving best practices.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide timely Helpdesk and technical support for end-user

    • Vigilantly oversee backup and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and security.

    • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.

    • Install, configure, secure, update, document, and monitor network infrastructure such as
      (but not limited to) switches, firewalls, servers, wireless access points, networks,
      databases, websites, and endpoints in the cloud and on-premises.

    • Document and maintain IT inventory, configurations, and procedures.

    • Administer and properly license Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Bithgroup’s Azure presence.

    • Support multiple OS: Windows, Mac OS, RHEL, iOS, Android, etc.

    • Manage physical building security monitoring systems.

    • Offer Managed Services (MSP) for clients as needed.

    • Author and collaborate on Incident Reports as required.

    • Provide training for users with varying levels of IT knowledge.

    • Recommend and purchase hardware and software.

    • Continuously research and evaluate new technologies and solutions and recommend technological and innovation improvements.

    • Introduce, develop, and implement programs and scripts to improve efficiency and
      introduce new automated workflows for internal lines of business (including but not limited
      to PowerShell, full-stack development, scripting, power automation, etc.)

    • Respond to emergency network outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster
      recovery procedures to ensure optional uptime.

    • Collaborate with the VP of Information Technology to review and improve internal processes
      and recommend improvements.
