    The System Director, Revenue Cycle & Business Applications is an operational & strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the following Epic teams: Epic Revenue Cycle Billing Systems, Epic Revenue Cycle Throughput, MSO Applications, Epic Technical, Business Intelligence. This position provides oversight over the managers responsible for these teams and ensures the overall success of the applications. This role will guide the implementation, configuration, support, and optimization of Epic software applications across the healthcare organization. Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation. Work closely with clinical, administrative, and IT stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient use of the Epic system to improve patient care, workflow efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

    Required Skills

    • Direct and lead Manager level leaders, while providing leadership development and mentorship

    • Develop and implement Epic strategies in alignment with the organization's overall business objectives.

    • Identifies company goals with executive leadership and aligns IT demands, projects, and initiatives to goals. Creates strategic roadmaps to align Epic initiatives with strategic objectives.

    • Act as a strategic partner to business executives, understanding their needs and ensuring Epic initiatives align with business objectives.

    • Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities where Epic and other applications can drive business value and support strategic goals.

    • Implement best practices for project management, including risk management, resource allocation, and performance measurement.

    • Proven leadership and team management skills to handle multiple projects and delegate to and direct staff

    • Strong management skills to oversee daily operations of the Epic application team, including system maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting, and support

    • Ability to lead the implementation of new Epic modules and upgrades, ensuring timely and successful project completion

    • Ability to prioritize work efforts and adapt in a fast-paced environment

    • Ability to provide support to their application analysts, managers must understand the issues and workflows in their area well enough to represent their users' needs to Epic

    • Ability to set clear expectations for team members, including defining what they should do at each phase of the project

    • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership, subject matter experts, along with clinical and business leaders

    • Collaboration skill to work with clinical and operational leadership to assess needs, translate workflows into Epic functionality, and provide strategic guidance

    • Demonstrating flexibility with respect to changing end‐user business needs

    • The ability to gain trust and establish effective relationships with Epic counterparts

    • The ability to persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles, and reach high levels of performance when faced with stressful work situations and time pressures

    • Seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence

    Required Experience

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree or a license/certification in a clinical specialty

    • Minimum 4 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a manager/director role over clinical applications

    Preferred:

    • Certification in Epic applications

    • Minimum 3 years of experience working with Epic applications
