Position Overview
We’re seeking a proactive, business-savvy Systems Administrator to join our growing team. This isn’t your typical “keep the servers running” role—we want someone who can bridge the gap between technology and strategy. If you're passionate about system uptime and understand how IT supports business agility, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments (Windows, Linux, Azure/AWS).
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas to reduce downtime or inefficiency.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure IT infrastructure aligns with strategic objectives.
- Lead IT-related business continuity planning and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Oversee access control, system permissions, and cybersecurity measures with an eye for compliance.
- Evaluate new tech solutions based on business value, ROI, and scalability.
- Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to end-user training efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or other degree with equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years in systems administration with increasing responsibility.
- Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and security protocols.
- Experience with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, etc.) is a major plus.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, MES software, or industrial IoT is a plus.
- Previous manufacturing experience is a preferred.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Strong communication & active listening
- Clear and respectful communication and being able to speak to all levels within an organization
- Collaboration & cross-functional partnership and being able to build trust across departments.
- Strong time management skills, adaptability, and ability to prioritize quickly.
- Business acumen and understanding how technical solutions affect KPIs like throughput, OEE, and downtime.
- Proactive and having a problem-solving mindset
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business challenges into IT solutions.
- High desire to continuously learn new technologies and changes.
- Able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users at all levels of the organization while displaying patience and empathy.
Travel: Minimal travel to satellite locations or data centers (less than 10%)
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, normal business hours
- Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work for system maintenance, emergency response, or other causes
What Sets You Apart
- You’re not just a tech expert—you think like a business partner.
