Summary
The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining our IT systems, ensuring that they are secure and reliable, and assists the Department with troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise. The Systems Administrator will provide application support as well as technical support to our staff and must be able to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams, users and applications for troubleshooting, problem resolution, training, and communication. Promotes and maintains the Bank's mission, values and culture. Provides exceptional communication and service to employees and customers.
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities
- Install and configure virtual servers, operating systems, and applications.
- Provide application support to end users.
- Answer phones and provide support to IT staff as needed.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for system use.
- Respond to system outages and provide technical support.
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery plans.
- Monitor system performance and provide system optimization.
- Maintain scripting and SFTP software which involves a range of responsibilities, including ensuring security, reliability, and efficiency of file transfers. Key areas include: monitoring SFTP processes, managing user access and permissions, updating software and scripts, addressing vulnerabilities, and implementing strong security practices.
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
- Research new technologies and recommend upgrades.
- Perform patch management and software updates.
- Create and maintain system monitoring tools.
- Assist with testing and deploying new internal software releases.
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop solutions with team to ensure remediation to potential risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with third party vendors for application implementation, utilization, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
- Lead smaller IT projects or components of larger projects, coordinating with various teams to ensure successful implementation, including creating and maintaining project documentation.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Manage user accounts, security access, network servers and server applications.
- Ensure security measures are in place to protect data and systems through access controls, backups and local Firewalls.
- Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, with technical documentation, manuals and IT Policies
- Ensures compliance with established Bank policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and related laws as they pertain to the Bank Secrecy Act in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Information Program.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent technology certifications.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in IT specific job roles.
- Strong knowledge of IT applications, systems, and best practices.
- Experience with IT project management methodologies.
