Who we are looking for / Requirements:

Our client is currently seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with expertise in both Windows and Linux environments, strong proficiency in automation and infrastructure as code (IAC), and a solid understanding of Azure cloud management. The ideal candidate will be adept in scripting, coding, and configuration management, with a collaborative mindset for working within a dynamic team.

Skills:

• Experience as a Windows and Linux Administrator
• Strong proficiency with Azure, including configuration and management of virtual machines, storage, and network services
• Moderate to strong scripting and automation skills, particularly with PowerShell, Ansible, and Azure Automation Platform (AAP)
• Experience with GIT for version control, collaboration, and CI/CD pipeline management
• Familiarity with networking concepts, SD-WAN, and related troubleshooting techniques
• Experience with DevOps and collaboration tools, such as ServiceNow, Confluence, and Jira
• Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure as code (IAC) principles and practices
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a proactive approach to system optimization

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux servers to ensure high availability and performance
• Configure and optimize cloud services in Azure, leveraging native tools and integrations
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation using PowerShell and Ansible
• Implement infrastructure as code (IAC) solutions to streamline deployment and reduce configuration drift
• Use Azure Automation Platform (AAP) for configuration and management of cloud and hybrid environments
• Oversee version control, collaboration, and automation pipelines using GIT
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, using tools like ServiceNow, Confluence, and Jira to track issues, manage changes, and document solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, with an emphasis on SD-WAN configurations and optimizations
• Proactively monitor systems and implement best practices to improve security, reliability, and scalability
