    Job Description

    YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3 years

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:A Bachelors Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required.

    PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Create an end-to-end management perspective to ensure proper compliance and oversight of GI Bill programs, and the use of data and business intelligence to monitor and measure school and student outcomes.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION: A Developer must have experience in the creation of error free software code under the direction and supervision of senior software development managers.

    REQUIREMENTS

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support existing applications and business partners.

    • Adheres to, promotes, and helps maintain development standards and best practices; participates in regular code reviews.

    • Strong team player with good communication skills demonstrating the ability to work well with developers, QA team members and management to support all areas of the agile SDLC approach.

    • Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization; contributes to acceptance/functional testing duties and part of incremental feature development.

    • Participate in peer reviews and unit testing, and must be adaptable to different responsibilities, possess strong communications skills, and have a passion for constantly improving the individual and team effectiveness.

    • Design, build and test web-based applications and edit site content for various components using content management system (CMS).

    • Create and manage web pages, add/edit content and upload/remove documents using CMS.

    • Maintain website standards and comply with predefined design guidelines.

    • Utilize best practices in web screen design and learn about different middleware platforms to source and update data through web screens as specified in functional requirements.

    • Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • The developer must be able to expertly create software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications.
    • Must have significant experience with Angular
    • Must have significant experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.
    • SW Development programmer/engineer specifically with UI design/development experience: HTML, CSS
    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Previous experience with VA and working on VA legacy systems for Education Service
    • Significant experience with SCSS, Require JS, and Node JS

    • RESULTS ORIENTED: Able to drive things forward regardless of personal interest in the task.
