    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Senior Accountant reports to the VP Assistant Controller and will perform various duties to support the month and year-end close process. This includes the distribution of financial reports to all locations and department heads. The Senior Accountant will focus on our athletic club brand, VillaSport Athletic Club and Spa.YOUR FOCUS AND OUR FOCUS:

    To maximize revenue.

    To control expenses.

    To deliver excellent customer service.

    To maintain the quality and cleanliness of your facility and work space.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    Manage month end process. Includes, all journals entries, managing interface data posting to general ledger and auditing integrity of systems and processes.

    Record and report all investing related activities.

    Distribute monthly and quarterly financial reports.

    Reconcile/review all balance sheet accounts.

    Maintain all project budgets.

    Take a lead role in the annual audit.

    Assist with operational program support. Includes audit of programs and issuance of bonus cards.

    Work with VP Assistant Controller in streamlining processes.

    Special Projects as assigned by the VP Assistant Controller.

    Manage Staff Accountant.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.

    3-5 years experience in Accounting.

    Experience in process implementation and improvement a plus

    Excellent organization skills with attention to detail.

    Strong oral and written communication skills.

    Intermediate or advanced level of Excel skills.

    JD Edwards experience a plus.
