Our family seeks 2019-2020 after-school help with our three elementary school children, a 5th grade daughter and girl-boy twin 2nd graders. Our home is located a 5-10 min drive from Marymount in McLean, off N. Glebe at intersection with Albemarle St. You must have your own reliable transportation. Our primary needs are homework help and transportation to nearby activities (most at MU). Typically, at least one parent will also be home while you are there with the children. Our greatest need is Mon-Thurs, 4-5:30pm, though we could do a later start time. We do not need care before 4pm. We seek someone reliable and responsible who will be a good influence upon our kids. Please: -have good study skills you are willing to share; -know how to be the firm but nice authority figure, to make sure they complete their assignments; -have a reliable car and clean driving record; -clean up after yourself and have the children also do so; and -do not smoke or vape. We would be especially delighted by someone with experience tutoring in language arts. Pay rate is $15-20/hour depending upon relevant experience. Local references are a plus, but any references are fine. Additional hours are possible if you are able to help occasionally before school (7:30-8:45am), or for the occasional date night or overnight travel. Not a problem if you are not interested. Seeking someone for Fall Semester 2019 at a minimum, beginning around Labor Day week. We will not need help the week of Thanksgiving. If it's working for all, can extend to Spring Semester 2020. We would like to work with one student, but are willing to work with two, if you are willing to coordinate together. We are a fun, busy family and have worked with many full time and part time nannies, sitters, etc. who have become like family, and we have helped place them in future positions with good employers. We are also happy to provide positive reference for your future pursuits.
