Financial Services Internship (Spring Semester) (Approximately 24hrs/week)
INTERNSHIP OUTCOME:
As a Treloar & Heisel Financial Services Intern, you will develop the skills necessary for success. You will bementored by our Director of Operations in addition to working closely with our Financial Services Professionalsand Wealth Managers at our corporate office. Throughout this internship, you will gain product and industryknowledge, as well as help build and develop client relationships to promote our products and services. Thisinternship should give you the opportunity to learn about the insurance and wealth management businesses.
INTERNSHIP DUTIES:
Financial Services:
Gain financial services experience by shadowing Financial Services Professionals and Regional Directors
Work with Financial Services Professionals to identify prospective customers using established lead generation methods
Conduct prospect and client calls on behalf of the organization
Learn and become proficient in Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems
Assist in the design and implementation of national sales campaigns
Conduct market research for strategic business planning
Wealth Management:
Assist with all financial planning obligations including; information entry, uploading client information and writing basic financial plans.
Shadow client discovery calls, 401(k) plan setups, investment advising, and financial plan deliveries
Contact prospective clients regarding financial plans, 401(k) plans, and other retirement and investment options
Research investment portfolio holdings
Assist with the creation of benchmarking and performance reports
(Programs that will be learned during this internship: eMoney, Redtail, Riskalyze, FirmPlus, ClientWorks, etc.)
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changingenvironment.• Must have strong interpersonal skills and follow-up skills.• Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution leadership ability.• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A current college student who is interested in learning about the insurance industry and financial plans. Treloar& Heisel uses its internship opportunities as working interviews for full time employment.
