Job Title CNC LATHE Machinist

Job Summary

• Program, Set up and Operate Lathe machines.

General Accountabilities

• Sets up, adjusts, and operates machinery used to perform precision machining operations.

• Aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.

• Measures, examines, or tests completed parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.

• Maintains machine tools in proper operational condition.

• Studies sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.

• Diagnose tooling malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.

• Confers with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.

• Evaluates machining procedures and recommends changes or modifications for improved efficiency.

Job Qualifications

• Education: Completion of apprenticeship program and/or college/technical school training program preferred

• Experience: At least 4 years experience as machinist

• MUST have Fanuc controls experience
