  • Responsibilities

    WaferTech currently has a Test Technician opening in our Product Engineering group.  The Test Technician will be responsible for various hardware duties in the Test area such as corrective and preventative maintenance of the production and engineering tools, troubleshooting and disposition of low-yield situations and documentation of work procedures.  The technician will work closely with engineering groups to implement modifications and improvements to process and equipment, as well as assist in experiments and trials. Being in the cleanroom is typical. The technician must be able to work any shift.

     

    • Corrective and preventative maintenance of automatic wafer prober such as TEL, etc.
    • Corrective and preventative maintenance of automatic test equipment in WAT and SAT, such as Teradyne and Agilent testers
    • Repair and preventative maintenance of cantilevel and verticle probe cards
    • Development and implementation of preventative maintenance documents and procedures
    • Troubleshoot and handle process anomaly, such as SPC/SBC/OCAP
    • Disposition of low-yield materials and hold lots
    • Spare parts tracking and utilization analysis
    • Operation on complex computer based equipment and systems

     

    WaferTech operates 24/7, 365 days a year so your availability to work 12-hour, day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays is a must. The shift structure is 4 days on/3 days off one week and 3 days on/4 days off the following week.  The technician must be able to work any shift.

Our customers (other businesses) partner with WaferTech to manufacture the computer chips that the client has designed. The chips that we make end up in a wide variety of products that the average consumer relies upon in their daily lives. Cell phones, pacemakers, cars, and security are some examples of how our semiconductors are used.
